We discovered Burford 30 years ago and wanted to stay at The Lamb Inn, but it was booked for a wedding. Two more trips to the area and we still could not get a room. Finally on a whim, we tried the week of and they had a room open. It was well worth waiting for. The rooms are well appointed, updated, but still have character. The service from check in to check out was superb. The dining was the best among some of the finest I have had in England. And while Burford as a town to visit has become more commercial than we like, the Lamb Inn or the Bay Tree are both excellent places to stop at.
Location, central to the area. All of it really.

The staff were friendly and helpful and efficient, and should be treasured! There was a relaxed atmosphere and high standards. The breakfasts were especially good.
Our room (Brewery) had a rather cramped bathroom, with inadequate storage space/places to put toiletries etc.

Harold
It has fab central location anywhere in the Cotswolds.

The location was particularly good, not too far from Burford Church. the staff members were exceptionally attentive and really helpful and suggested local places. - the offered breakfast was fresh and savoury with fruit salad.

Our second visit, comfortable, traditional, quality cuisine, beautiful building and town
Beds far too soft, dinner spoilt by waiters continually walking through dining room with meals for the bar, made worse by springy wood flooring, a question of shaken not stirred.

Spotlessly clean hotel unit with a bath. Marvellous and fantastic location in Burford, near to outside garden, restaurant due to large party, and a historic and genuine English pub.
-
Simon
The restaurant served tasty food with great service, and the spacious bathroom provided both a bath and a walk-in shower, making our stay enjoyable.

Andy
Quaint hotel with decent staff especially the receptionist who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, everything was lovely. Delightful dishes, central location close to everything. And close enough to historic Burford, the centre, and the restaurant. The quiet feel of the venue.
